When their housing complex suddenly threatens to collapse, Emad and Rana have to find a place to stay, moving to a nearby shabby apartment owned by one of their acquaintances. One of the apartment rooms is locked and filled with the luggage of the former tenant. This inconvenient displacement and disruption of personal space soon intersects a violent and terrible personal intrusion in their home. In spite of trying to erase what happened, the terrible events break through their minds again and again, and Emad proceeds to find the culprit in a reprisal attempt. At the same time, the couple is playing the lead roles in Arthur Miller's play "Death of a Salesman", and the deterioration of relationships in the play eerily mirrors the breakdown of understanding between the film's characters.
